What are the Objectives of the ACT ULMITB?
The objectives of the Utilities and Light Manufacturing
Industry Training Board are:
- To provide quality advice to the ACT Office of Training and Adult Education
(OTAE) on training issues relevant
to the industries under the Board's coverage; namely policy, planning, delivery, resource allocation, equity and access issues relevant to the current and future needs of the industries' personnel.
- To promote within industry, the need for training and specific training reform initiatives.
- To liaise with and provide assistance to other Industry Training Advisory Bodies with the view to furthering the objectives of the ITAB network as a whole.
- To provide quality advice in relation to courses submitted for accreditation and training providers seeking accreditation.
- To identify, seek support for an undertake research projects and other activities of direct benefit to the organisation's member industries.
